About Sriniketana Homestay

Sriniketana Homestay is run by a Malnad Brahmin family, originally to host pilgrims visiting Sringeri, Horanadu, and the other temples nearby. Over the years, it's grown into a stay for anyone looking to get away from city life for a few days.

We're located 5 km from Sringeri town, surrounded by our own coffee and areca nut plantations. Rooms are set up for families and groups, with multiple sharing options depending on what you need.

We also host small workshops, events and family functions for 35 to 40 guests, with home-cooked meals and accommodation arranged for the whole group.

Special rates are available for groups and corporate teams staying longer.

Be Prepared

Visitors Must Know

Check-In & Check-Out

12:00 PM check-in, 11:00 AM check-out. Early check-in or late check-out on request, subject to availability.

What to Carry

A valid Government ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID) is required for every guest at check-in. Visitors are requested to carry medicines of their own — a basic first-aid kit is available at the stay, and the nearest supermarkets or pharmacies are 5 km away.

Getting Here

Nearest railway station and bus stand: Shivamogga, with parking available on-site. Mobile network is decent for calls and texts, though mobile data can be slow — worth noting for anyone expecting to stay connected. WiFi will be provided for work purposes.

Not Allowed

Loud music isn't permitted, out of respect for the surrounding forest. Pets are not allowed. Smoking, drinking, and non-veg food are not allowed inside the premises.

Any last-minute increase in guest count is subject to availability and may attract extra charges. We're not able to guarantee accommodation for unannounced additions on the day of arrival.
